Alejandro "Alex" Ramirez, 40, of East Grand Forks, passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.

Alex was born August 10, 1980, in Carrizo Springs, TX to Felix and Susana (Vargas) Ramirez. The family moved to East Grand Forks, MN where he grew up and went to school. On May 5, 2007, he married Rosemarie Mandan in Grand Forks. He was a self-employed contractor.

Survivors include his parent Felix and Susana Ramirez of East Grand Forks; children Monique (Chris) Ramirez of Fargo, Esperanza, Polly, and Jesus Ramirez and their mother Rosemarie Mandan all of Grand Forks; siblings Felix (Tammy) Ramirez, Jr. of Warren, MN, Florinda Klein of East Grand Forks, Enrique Ramirez of Grand Forks, Sonia (John) Bratton of East Grand Forks, Cecilia Ramirez of Muncie, IN; grandchildren Angel of Grand Forks, and Leyla and Valentino of Crookston; and many other family and friends who will be left to mourn his passing. Alex was a generous man who would help anyone he could and was a role model for all who knew him. He loved unconditionally. He was a father-figure to many including his nieces and nephews who sought after him for a listening ear.

He was preceded in death by his brother Christopher Ramirez, brother-in-law, Vern Anderson, sister-in-law, Berta Ramirez, mother-in-law, Evangeline Mongram, and grandparents Julia and Jesus Ramirez and Mariana and Emilio Vargas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to Dahl Funeral Home in Alejandro's Memory.

Funeral: 10:30 AM, Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 200 3 ^rd St. NW, East Grand Forks, MN 56721. Funeral will be live-streamed on Alex's page at www.dandahlfuneralhome.com .

Visitation: 1 hour prior to funeral at the church
