Ann Marie Srnsky, 88, of East Grand Forks, passed away Monday, June 17, 2024 at Altru Hospital of Grand Forks.

Ann Marie Olson was born July 20, 1935 in Grand Forks, ND, the daughter of Knute and Ethel (Styrland) Olson. She grew up and attended school in Grand Forks, graduating from Central High School in 1952. On January 25, 1953, Ann Marie married Adolph Srnsky in East Grand Forks. There they made their home and were blessed with two sons, Roger and Jeffery. She worked at the Palace Café, Riviera Café, Western Potato and J.R. Simplot, retiring in 1997.

After retirement, Ann Marie enjoyed being a foster Grandma at TriValley for 12 years. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and working on genealogy online until Macular Degeneration took her sight. Ann Marie loved sharing family stories along with family recipes and her expertise in making potato dumplings and lefse with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a long-time member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church.

Ann Marie is survived by her sons Roger Srnsky of Grand Forks and Jeffery (Suzanne) Srnsky of Otsego, MN; grandchildren Brad (Kate) Srnsky and their children Madison and Greyson of Blaine, MN, and Jennifer (Nick) Bruers and their children Emma, Kami, and Luke of Norwood Young America, MN, Angela (Ben) Beardemphl and their children Audrey and Katelyn of Grand Forks, ND.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Knute and Ethel Olson, husband Adolph Srnsky, and brother Charles Olson.
