Barbara J. Bjornstad, age 64 of East Grand Forks, MN passed away on Tuesday, January 29 th , 2019 at her home.

Barbara Jean Bjornstad was born on July 2, 1954 in Moorhead, MN the daughter of Freeland and Lorraine (Wagner) Pletcher.  Barbara grew up and attended school in Moorhead, and graduated from Moorhead High School. Following her high school graduation, she attended Moorhead Technical College.  On April 6, 1974 she was united in marriage to Carl Bjornstad in Fargo, ND. Barbara was a faithful and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She delighted in being a grandmother.  Much of her life was spent volunteering with Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Child Evangelism Fellowship.

Family members who survive Barbara include her husband Carl Bjornstad of East Grand Forks, MN; children, Christine Bjornstad of Thief River Falls, MN and Richard Bjornstad; her parents, Freeland and Lorraine of Moorhead, MN and grandson Gerrit of Thief River Falls, MN; siblings, Daniel (Annette) Pletcher of Orland Park, IL, Kim (Marvin) Kratzke of Vergas, MN and Ruth (Jamie) Rice of Barnesville, MN.  She is preceded in death by a son-in-law, William Belanus

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM on Saturday, February 2, 2019 in the Thief River Falls Evangelical Free Church, 211 Arnold Ave N, Thief River Falls, MN

Visitation: One Hour Prior Funeral Service on Saturday in Evangelical Free Church.

Interment: Ada City Cemetery ~ Ada, MN
