Barbara I. Harpster, 68, of Grand Forks, passed away Monday, February 27, 2023 at Good Samaritan of Larimore, ND.

Barbara Irene Harpster was born September 30, 1954, in Grand Forks, ND to Lynn and Eva (Gangelhoff) Harpster. She grew up in East Grand Forks and graduated from Senior High in 1973 before attending college at Bemidji State University. She transferred to UND earning her BS in Elementary Education. Barb worked as a Unit Program Coordinator at the Life Skills and Transition Center in Grafton before retiring early for health reasons. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of East Grand Forks and was a crazy cat lover.

Barb is survived by her son Chris (Lyzz) Harpster and their son Jacob of Fargo, ND; brother David Harpster of Jamestown, ND; sisters Bev Bosman of Moorhead, MN, and Sandy (Dan) Samson of Grand Forks, ND; special friend Betty (Rich) Torgerson of East Grand Forks, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lynn and Eva Harpster, sister Linda Harpster, and brother-in-law Alan Bosman.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Circle of Friends Humane Society.

INURNMENT: Barb will be laid to rest with her parents at Memorial Park North Cemetery of Grand Forks, ND, in the Spring of 2023
