Carol Raymond, 76, of Grand Forks, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 15, 2019.

Carol Helen Johnson was born, May 27, 1943 in Bottineau, ND to the late Melvin and Alma (Kamrud) Johnson. She grew up and graduated from Bottineau High School in 1961 and Nursing School there in 1964. There she also married Marvin Byre and the two moved to Grand Forks where they made their home. After Marvin's passing, she married Orvil Lee. She loved to teach nursing and did so until she retired from Altru in 2006. On April 1, 1995 Carol married Mike Raymond.

Survivors include her children Betti Byre, Mark (Lynn) Byre, and Erik Lee all of Grand Forks; sister Jan (Russ) Picard of Bottineau, ND, step-children Hanni (Adam) Go of FL, Paul and Eric Raymond both of St. Paul, MN, and Johanna Raymond of Orland, FL, 6 grandchildren Austin Byre, Mackenzie Byre, Lyla Go, Lucas Go, Lucy Go, and Lia Go.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands Marvin Byre, Orvil Lee, and Mike Raymond.
