Cheryl M Johnson passed in peace on December 21 ^st at the Luther Memorial Home nursing home in Mayville at the age of 61.

Cheryl was born at the Deaconess Hospital in Grand Forks the daughter of Charles and Sonia (Braaten) Johnson. She was the sister to Scott Johnson, niece to Betty Fontaine, and granddaughter to Cleo Braaten who was also her guardian and care-taker. Cheryl attended the West Public School in Grand forks and graduated in 1978 from Valley Junior High School. She was employed with Agassiz Enterprises which is now Grand Forks Growth and Support Center. She loved working and doing activities at Agassiz.  Some of her favorite things were dancing, music, I love Lucy, and Sweating to the Oldies exercise group, along with Wii bowling.  Cheryl loved her friends at Agassiz. Cheryl was loved dearly by her family and friends and especially her care takers Candy and Del Gratton whom she lived with from 1998 to 2016 after the passing of her grandmother.  Cheryl moved to Luther Memorial Homes in 2016 due to declining health where she quickly grew to be a favorite of staff with her wonderful smile and love for activities. Staff there would do her hair and nails and she enjoyed the compassion and care they gave her until her death.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew her and loved her.
