Cheryl Ann Short , 66, of East Grand Forks, MN, died Friday, March 7, 2025, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.

Cheryl Egstad was born July 27, 1958, in Grand Forks, ND, the daughter of Donald and Livina (Deraney) Egstad. She grew up in East Grand Forks and graduated from East Grand Forks Senior High School in 1976. Cheryl married Howard Short in East Grand Forks, MN on March 3, 1979. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. Cheryl worked at Pamida/Shopko for many years. In retirement, she enjoyed spending time with family. Above all, Cheryl cherished her time with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Whether she was baking with them, sharing stories, playing games, or simply enjoying their laughter, she created memories that will be forever treasured. Cheryl will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her kindness, creativity, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Howard of East Grand Forks; 2 daughters, Jennifer (David) Simmons of West Fargo, ND and Judy Short of East Grand Forks; and 5 grandchildren, Henry, Owen, Hayes, Grady, and Vylah. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Judith Egstad.

FUNERAL SERVICE : 3:00PM on Friday, March 14, 2025 at Dahl Funeral Home, 2029 Central Avenue NW, East Grand Forks, MN.

VISITATION : From 1:00PM - 3:00PM at the funeral home.
