Debra Staus, 60, of Grand Forks, ND peacefully passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018 at the Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.

Debra Staus was born June 26, 1957 in Grand Forks, ND the daughter of Jerome and Betty (Smilden) Lowe. She received her GED and attended Northland Community and Technical College for early childhood education. Deb enjoyed working various jobs but found her passion as a daycare provider for 35 years until her declining health caused her to close in 2017. She married Marvin Staus Sr. in Grand Forks on September 1, 1979. Together they enjoyed vacationing, attending We Fest, playing bingo, going to the casino and movies until Marv's passing in 2015. She enjoyed spending time with her family by cooking, shopping, attending concerts and going for pedicures.

She is survived by her children, Jeremy (Phyllis Tanke) Staus, Lisa (Justin) Haskamp, Marsha Brouillet, and Marvin Jr. (Crystal) Staus all of Grand Forks, ND, 9 grandchildren, J.R., Keyra, Logan, Erica, Joslynn, Emma, Sydney, Liam ,and Crosby, 3 sisters, Myrna (Matt) Munder, of Warren, MN, Cindy Lowe, Auburn, WA, Julie O'Kelley of Grand Forks, 4 brothers, Jerome Lowe, Grand Forks, ND, Earl (Vicki) Collison of East Grand Forks, Barry Collison and Tony Collison and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, step father Earl Collison and 1 sister Jeanette Amundson.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Friday, June 1, 2018 at the University Lutheran Church, Grand Forks, ND.

Visitation: Thursday from 5-7 PM with a 6:30 prayer service at Dahl Funeral Home, East Grand Forks, MN and 1 hour before services at the church.
