Dennis Anderson, 73, of Northwood passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at his home.

Dennis Richard Anderson was born April 8, 1947 in Grand Forks, ND to James and Rosemary (Tucker) Anderson. He grew up in McCanna and attended Larimore High School and was trained at the school of hard knocks. Dennis worked for Swanson Ford of Larimore before opening Anderson Repair in 1980 which he worked at until his passing. He married Salli Lou Timm in Northwood in 1995. He was a member of Washington Lutheran Church of Northwood, an active community member serving in many capacities, was a life member of the Emerado-Arvilla Lions club, was a passionate supporter and board member of the Service Dogs for America for over 25 years, and a proud member of AA with 37 years sobriety. Dennis was a people person who never met a stranger & always enjoyed visiting.

Survivors include his wife Salli of Northwood; children Lenaye Braaten of Grand Forks, Ted (April) Anderson of Larimore, Kari (Lucas) Klettke of West Fargo, and Patrick (Erica) Chaffee of Horace; brother Jim (Linda) Anderson of Larimore; grandchildren Luke (Trisha) Braaten, Catlin (Shing) Braaten, Carson (Paige) Anderson, Kole, Lydia, and Lillanna Klettke, and James Hayes, and Jude Chaffee; great-grandchilden Rilee Braaten, and Joel Anderson; and his furry companion Yogi. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Frances Berg, and special dog Bandit.
