Diane Evelyn (Baxter) Schocker was born January 10, 1948 to Floyd and Edith Baxter of Austin, Minnesota.

Diane married Lee Schocker Sr. on January 10, 1966 and they had three children. They divorced in 1974 and Diane moved her young family west, eventually settling in Devils Lake, ND and attending Lake Region State College for criminal justice and psychology.

Never one to be idle, Diane spent her time being active in the community with her local Rebekahs chapter, fishing with her kids and grandkids, and helping her neighbors. Through the years she worked at Camp Grafton, the Odd Fellows Home, and REM ND.

Diane passed away on July 23, 2024 after a brief illness. She is survived by her daughter, Shon (Bill) Lewis of Manvel, ND, and her son, Tony of Clay City, IL, as well as her brother, Brian, and sister, Kathy (Larry) Mensing, and a host of grandkids and great-grandkids, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of a formal gathering, Diane requested that we celebrate her love and light by having friends and family get together on their own schedules to connect over coffee, food, and shared memories.
