Donna M. Feragen, age 95 of East Grand Forks, MN passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Altru Hospital under the care of Hospice.

Donna Mae Feragen, was born on November 18, 1925 in Grygla, MN, the daughter of Ole and Ina (Carlson) Stromlund.  Donna attended country school near Grygla and then attended high school in Goodridge.  She grew up with her grandparents, Anna and Peter Carlson.  On July 16, 1942 she was united in marriage to Alvin Feragen in Thief River Falls, MN.  They moved to East Grand Forks, MN where she worked at Black's Bakery, The Pink Hanger and also Dietrich Sewing Center.

Donna was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church where she was active in guild and helped with lunches at weddings and funerals.  Donna was an avid quilt maker and spent years cutting and sewing.  Each graduate of Our Savior's Lutheran Church received a quilt.  Each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren received a handmade quilt when they were born.  Donna was also very involved with the East Grand Forks Senior Center in many projects.  Donna was so proud to be the head of a 5 generation family.

Family members who survive Donna include her children, Anna (Daniel) Straus of Mentor, MN, Dean (Mary Anderson) Feragen of Minneapolis, MN, Diann (Rick) Pesch of East Grand Forks, MN, Alan Feragen (Rennis) of Burnsville, MS, Duane (Jody) Feragen of Shell Lake, WI, Ardyce (Bob) Olech of Clayton, IL and Deborah (William) Reagan of Grand Forks, ND; 19 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Darlene (Kenneth) Lind of Bemidji, MN, David (Nana) Stromlund of Thief River Falls, MN, Gary Stromlund of OK, Clare (Barb) Stromlund of Cloquet, MN and Marcia Cipriani of Lafayette, CO.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Alvin Feragen on November 1, 1980; sister, Eileen Pettit; granddaughters, Annette Straus, Stephanie Ericson and 2 great-granddaughters, Amber Pistulka and Lily Pesch.
