Dorance John "Jack" Legg Jr., age 90, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Valley Senior Living on Columbia in Grand Forks, ND

Jack was born to Dorance Sr. and Lenora (Oliver) Legg in Grafton, ND on June 15, 1933.  The family moved to Grand Forks, ND in 1943 where he attended public school.  He served in the army in Korea from April 1953 until he was honorably discharged in February of 1955.  He married Anna Marie Grundysen on September 6, 1958 in Grand Forks.  He worked for Wilcox and Malm, Valley Contracting, Beyer Cement and LaFarge Inc.

He loved to travel with his wife Annie and friends and loved to spend time at their lake place on Maple Lake, MN.

He is survived by his wife, Annie of Grand Forks, ND; sisters, Lorraine (Kenton) Harmon and Cleo (Neil) Rowe all of East Grand Forks, MN, Judi Lowe of Phoenix, AZ; brother, Charles (Sigrun) Legg of Lady Lake, FL; sisters-in-law, Ann Legg of North Carolina and Elaine Legg of Grand Forks, ND; several nieces and nephews and special care givers, Terry and Cindy Grundysen, Richard and Vickie Legg, Elaine Legg and his beloved dog, Lady.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Howard and Richard Legg and brother-in-law, David Lowe.

The family would like to thank the staff at Valley Senior Living on Columbia for the excellent care that Jack received while living there.

I n lieu of flowers, Memorials are preferred.
