Dorothy A. Halliday, age 75, of Ardoch, ND, passed away Monday, October 5, 2026 at Valley Senior Living on Columbia in Grand Forks, ND.

Dorothy Annette Bren was born January 25, 1951 in Grand Forks, ND to Emil and Helen (Novak) Bren. She grew up in the Alvarado area and attended country school in Tabor. She graduated from Alvarado High School in 1969 as valedictorian before attending Aakers Business College. Dorothy married Frank Halliday in Grand Forks. They made their home in Ardoch, ND. Dorothy worked as a secretary at Robinson Lumber and later at Altru Hospital before becoming a medical transcriptionist. She enjoyed quilting, paper art, scrapbooking and was an avid animal lover.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Patrick Halliday of Ardoch, and was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Helen Bren; husband, Frank Halliday; and brothers, Donny and Gary Bren. 

 MEMORIAL SERVICE: 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at Dahl Funeral Home, 2029 Central Ave. NW, East Grand Forks, MN 56721. 

VISITATION: One hour prior to the service also at the funeral home on Saturday.
