Ella Greene, 89, of East Grand Forks, MN died Thursday, April 19, 2022 at her home.

Ella Greene was born October 17, 1932 in Cripple Creek, VA the daughter of Worley and Ollie (Rosenbaum) Wampler.  She grew up in Cripple Creek, VA and graduated from Cripple Creek High School.  She worked for Washington Mills in Fries, VA.  She married Elwin Greene in Fries, VA on October 30, 1954.  They lived in Rhode Island and then North Carolina.  She worked at a daycare and secretary for R and L Woodworks.

She is survived by her husband Elwin Greene of MN; four children, Clay (Cheryl) Greene of VA, James Greene of MN, Richard (Terry) Greene, NC, Rose (Larry) Metzger of ND; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Jane Newman, Paige Waller, Hallie (Bill) Chinault and Becky (Larry) Thornton; along with many other extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Della Rae Morris, and brother in laws, Joe Morris, Charles Waller and Wilson Newman along with many other extended family members.

Funeral: No services are planned at this time.

Burial: Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Princeton, NC.
