Eric Paul King, 35, of Roseau, formerly of East Grand Forks, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2020 at Altru Hospital of Grand Forks.

Eric Paul King was born May 14, 1985 in Grand Forks to Raymond and Gayle (Patterson) King. He grew up in East Grand Forks and graduated from Senior High in 2003. They then moved to Roseau where he was certified as an EMT and worked in maintenance at LifeCare Medical Center. Eric was an avid hockey fan, especially for the Sioux and the Colorado Avalanche, but his greatest joy was his nieces and nephew.

Survivors include his parents Gayle and Ray King of Roseau, MN; sisters Amanda (Nathan Hanson) King of Williston, ND, and Julia (Travis) Ripplinger of Reynolds; nieces Sophie, Edith, Layla; nephew Brady; paternal grandparents Glenn (Karen) King of Adrian, MO; aunts Debra (Gordon) Olson of Temecula, CA, Nancy (Brad) Scholler of Grand Forks, Brenda Cecil of Butler, MO, and uncle Doug (Meghann) King of Archie, MO.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Robert and Barbara Patterson, maternal great-grandmother Sophie Sirek, and great-aunt Helen Sirek.

Celebration of Life: 2:00 PM Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Dahl Funeral Home, 2029 Central Ave. NW, East Grand Forks, MN
