Evonne Klein, 78, of Grand Forks, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2020 at Altru Hospital.

Evonne Theone Jenson was born July 16, 1941 in Grand Forks, ND to the late Oscar and Thenora (Selmanson) Jenson. She grew up in Bygland Township and graduated from East Grand Forks Senior High. She married John Lawdermilt at Bygland Lutheran Church and they had five children. She later married Tom Klein who preceded her in death. Evonne worked at the EGF VFW Post 3817 for many years and loved to knit, quilt, crochet, and make lefse, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.

Survivors include her five children; Sabrina (Gene) Beau Lac of Minot, Connie (Pat) Hofstad of Grand Forks, Dwayne (Sherry) Lawdermilt of Grand Forks, Faye (Dave Matcha) Ask of Bemidji, and Carl (Dawn Ostenson) Lawdermilt of East Grand Forks; brother Eldon (Darlene) Jenson of Grand Forks; 14 Grandchildren; and 4 Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands John Lawdermilt and Tom Klien, and brother Donnie Jenson
