Francis D. Vergal, 81, of East Grand Forks, MN passed away Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Pioneer Memorial Home of Erskine.

Florence J. Vergal, age 78 of East Grand Forks, MN, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at her home.

Florence Jessie Vergal was born on January 8, 1941 in Flin Flon, MB Canada, the daughter of Connie (McIntyre) Bottrell. Florence grew up in Hannah, ND and attended school there, graduating from Hannah High School.

Francis Dwayne Vergal was born May 12, 1937 in Wales, ND to John and Ella (Riege) Vergal. He graduated from Hannah High School in 1955 and served in the US Army following graduation. He worked as a carpenter/project supervisor.

Florence and Francis were married in Hannah, ND, October 31, 1959. They lived in Grand Forks, ND, Roseville, CA, Fosston, MN, and then made their home in Fertile, MN. She retired from Fair Meadow's Nursing Home in Fertile, MN as an LPN. Following retirement they moved to East Grand Forks, MN.

They are survived by her children, Philip Vergal of Bemidji, MN, Mark (Lisa) Vergal of Breckinridge, MN and Mike (Cheri) Vergal of Grand Forks, ND; 5 grandchildren, Vikki (Matt) Arnold, Nicole Vergal, Jacob Vergal, Hope Vergal and Amber Carlton; 2 great-grandchildren, Mack and Jett Arnold; sister, Gwen (Lynn) Hodgins of Devils Lake, ND; brother, Lowell (Coke) Bottrell of Fargo, ND and sister-in-law, Teresa Bottrell of Billings, MT.

She is preceded in death by her parents Phil and Connie Bottrell, and brother Donny Bottrell.

He is preceded in death by parents Ella and John Vergal and an infant brother.
