George A. Peterson, 64, of Larimore, formerly of East Grand Forks, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020 at the Good Samaritan of Larimore, ND.

George Arlen Peterson was born August 28, 1956 in Montevideo, MN to Kenneth and Evelyn "Scottie" (McDougal) Peterson. He grew up in Battle Lake, MN where he graduated from high school. Following that, he joined the United States Air Force where he faithfully served until his retirement on July 1, 1995. On September 25, 1981, he married Sharon Kruchten in Battle Lake, MN. They made their home in East Grand Forks. After George's retirement from the Air Force he worked at Sam's Club and CHS and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his father Kenneth Peterson of Battle Lake, MN; children Chad Peterson, Amanda Peterson (Steve Sackett) all of East Grand Forks, and Shawn Peterson (Mandy Hejlik) of Grand Forks; sisters Sharlet (Jeff) Houston of Blue Earth, MN and Kay Dalluge of Perham, MN; brother Stanley (Yong) Peterson of Llano, LA.

He was preceded in death by his wife Sharon in 2018 and his mother Evelyn "Scottie" Peterson.

Funeral: 2:00 PM, Friday, December 18, 2020 at Dahl Funeral Home, 2029 Central Ave. NW, East Grand Forks, MN 56721

Burial: Resurrection Cemetery~East Grand Forks, MN with Military Honors provided by East Grand Forks American Legion Post 157, VFW Post 3817, and the National Guard.
