Gerald "Butch" Lizakowski, Jr. passed away at his home in Berthoud, Colorado at the age of 56.

Gerald Anthony Lizakowski, Jr. was born on March 21, 1967 in San Diego, California to Gerald Sr. & Catherine Lizakowski. He grew up in Grand Forks, North Dakota and attended Central High School where he graduated in 1985. Butch joined the US Navy at 18 and proudly served for 6 years. He was part of the Navy's flight crew where he mapped routes and assisted navigation.

Butch moved to California and lived there for about 10 years. He married Renae Hester in Santa Cruz. They moved to Colorado and then had a son, Jared. Butch met Kim in 2013 while walking their dogs and she's been part of his life since.

Butch loved hunting, hockey, golf, and playing solitaire on the computer. He was active and outdoorsy, he liked to run and was great at disappearing. Butch enjoyed driving around on country roads and being on the motorcycle.

Waiting for him in Heaven are his son, Jared; father, Gerald Sr; brother, Curtis; and nephew, Travis Nelson.

Butch is survived by his mother, Catherine; significant other, Kim Lane; siblings, Doris Noreen, Michelle (Pete) Jacobson, and Brian Lizakowski; many nieces & nephews; best friend, Matt Zahradka; and dog, Mindy.

VISITATION is from 3:30pm - 5:30pm, with a PRAYER SERVICE at 5:00pm, on Friday, January 19, 2024, at Dahl Funeral Home, 2029 Central Avenue NW, East Grand Forks, Minnesota.

Interment with Military Honors at a later date.
