Howard Romuld, 81, of East Grand Forks, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.

Howard Gordon was born December 18, 1943 in Saskatchewan to Clifford and Carrie Romuld. Howard grew up in Grand Forks and graduated from Central High School. Following high school Howard enlisted in the US Army where he served until retirement. On September 16, 1983 he married Kathleen Flatten in Crookston, MN. Together they made their home in East Grand Forks and raised their three children, Kristie, Erin and Casey. After retiring from the Army, Howard worked for Comeau Electric as a carpenter. Howard was a handyman who could fix anything and enjoyed tinkering and DIY projects. He also enjoyed gardening.

Howard is survived by his three children, Kristie (Steve) Liberty of Chesapeake, VA, Erin Romuld of Grand Forks, ND, Casey Romuld of East Grand Forks, MN; grandchildren, Tanner, Hunter, Wesley, Allie and Abby; and great-grandchildren Olivia and Emma. He was preceded in death by his parents Clifford and Carrie Romuld, wife Kathleen Romuld and brothers Dale and Bill Romuld.

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 3:00 PM, Friday, June 20, 2025 at Resurrection Cemetery, East Grand Forks, MN.

INTERMENT: Resurrection Cemetery of East Grand Forks with Military Honors provided by the East Grand Forks American Legion Post #157, VFW Post # 3817 and the MN National Guard
