Irene J (Garcia) Longoria died Saturday, March 27, 2021 at the age of 88 years old at Edgewood in Fargo, ND.

Irene was born August 8, 1932 in Elmore, MN to Josephine (Alcala) and Pablo Garcia. She grew up in Oslo, MN where she met and married Lupe (Wally) Longoria on June 27, 1953, making their home in East Grand Forks, MN.

Irene loved to crochet, work on crossword and jigsaw puzzles, was an avid reader and big sports fan of both the MN Twins and the MN Vikings.

Irene is survived by her children Lupe (Norma) Longoria Jr., Mankato, MN; Rich (Bev) Longoria, Grand Forks, ND; Yvonne (Mike) Nicklay, Fargo, ND and JoEnne Longoria, Emerado, ND; nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren; brother Frank (Toni) Garcia, Colorado Springs, CO; and sisters Irma Long, Minneapolis, MN and Isabel Witt, Owens Cross Roads, AL.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lupe 'Wally' Longoria in May 2011; her parents; her brothers Felix Garcia, Silver Garcia, Benjamin Garcia and an infant sister Mary Garcia.
