James David "Dave" Dohman, it is with heavy hearts and great sadness that our beloved son, father, husband, brother and friend passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at his home in East Grand Forks, MN at the age of 60 years after a courageous battle with cancer.

James "Dave" David Dohman was born on May 10, 1958 in Huntington Park, CA the son of Robert and Betty (Beurth) Dohman. Dave grew up in the Grand Forks and East Grand Forks area and attended Sacred Heart School in East Grand Forks and graduated with the Class of 1977. Dave joined the United States Marines in 1977 and was honorably discharged in 1980. He was Chief Deputy of Adams County in North Dakota from 1980 to 1992. He then moved to Denver, CO and worked as a Security Guard for National Bank. He then worked at Alpha Center and Rehabilitation Center in Denver before moving to Park River, ND where he was the City Patrolman. He moved back to Grand Forks, ND and worked at the Good Samaritan Center in East Grand Forks, the East Grand Forks Head Start and also Acme Tools of Grand Forks. On September 12, 2015 he was united in marriage to Michelle Lee at Bethel Lutheran Church in Grand Forks, ND.

Loving family members of Dave include his wife Michelle of East Grand Forks, MN; children, David Dohman and Aaron Dohman both of Parker, CO, Jessica Knopp of Grand Forks, ND and Rylan Lee of East Grand Forks, MN; his father Robert Dohman Sr. of Grand Forks, ND and siblings, Robert Dohman Jr. of Grand Forks, ND, Kathy Crows Heart of Carthage, NY, Michael Dohman, Barbara Dohman, Steven Dohman all of Grand Forks, ND and Kim (Shawn) Dockter of Minot, ND along with many nieces and nephews, Denice Crows Heart, Chelsea (Tanner) Baumann and their children Kannan and Ozzy, Cody Beeler, Rachel (Derek) Nelson and their son Henry and Zach Dockter. He is preceded in death by his mother Betty Dohman.
