Janice Weiss, 75, of East Grand Forks, passed away at home, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, July 31, 2021.

Janice Faye Palmer was born on December 12, 1945 to Harry and Lorraine (Nord) Palmer in Grand Forks, ND. She grew up in Grand Forks and graduated from Central High School. On November 24, 1962, she married Gary Weiss in Grand Forks. They made their home in East Grand Forks where they raised their children. Over the years, Janice worked at Useldinger Farms, Frito Lay, and Eides where she made many friends. Gary and Janice bought a lake home at South Twin Lakes, MN where many wonderful memories were made with her children and grandchildren. Some of her favorite things were spending time with her family, keeping a clean house, hosting and preparing meals and family get togethers, keeping her plants and flowers beautiful, collecting recipes and family antiques, and doing crossword puzzles. Her greatest joy came from attending her grandchildren's activities. Most recently Gary and Janice were able to travel to Jamaica and the Dominican Republic for two of their grandchildren's weddings.

Janice will forever be loved and missed dearly by her loving husband of 58 years, Gary; children Shawnna (Cole) Spencer of Grand Forks, Karla (Dean) O'Brien of Perley, MN, and Blaine (Shawna) Weiss of Buffalo, MN; sister Delores Mueller; 9 Grandchildren, Craig (Susan) Spencer, Dustin Spencer, Cody Spencer, Kassie (Kyle) Keegan, Karissa (Dustin) Thompson, Breanna (David) Slominski, Dalton Weiss, Danielle Weiss, Kennedy Weiss; and 8 Great-Grandchildren, Brayden, Khloe, Blakely, Savannah, Bennett, Kinsley, Jace, and Isla; and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Marlene Metzger, Colleen Cadreau, brother Arlen Boulduc, and niece Robyn Metzger.

Memorial Service: 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Dahl Funeral Home, 2029 Central Ave. NW, East Grand Forks, MN 56721.

Visitation: 1 Hour prior to service at the funeral home on Saturday
