Janie C. Hipsher, 75, of Fisher, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks.

Janie Clarian Larson was born October 16, 1947 in Thief River Falls, MN to Joseph and Gladys (Hovland) Larson. She grew up and attended school in Thief River Falls. On March 7, 1964, Janie married Gordon Hipsher in Thief River Falls. They made their home in East Grand Forks. She graduated as a lab technician from the AVTI in East Grand Forks. Janie worked alongside her husband Gordy as the owner/operators of Red River Auto. She had a passion for her horses, loved fishing, but more than anything, loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years Gordy Hipsher of Fisher; children Vicki (Shad) Rector of Fordville, Wendy Hipsher of Grand Forks, Kerry (Randy) Zejdlik of Grand Forks, Brandy (Steve) Demers of East Grand Forks, and Travis (Jill) Hipsher of Neche; sister Dede Larson of Thief River Falls; 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Gladys Larson, and siblings Lars Larson, JoAnne Landmann, Edward Larson, Denny Larson, and an infant sister, and one great-grandson.
