Jean Marie Baird, 93, of Dilworth, MN, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Serenity Assisted Living of Dilworth.

Jean Marie Zachau was born January 19, 1929 in Superior, WI to the late Henry Wilbur and Veronica Josephine (Culhane) Zachau. She grew up and went to school in Cass Lake and graduated from high school there in 1947. On August 5, 1947, she married Ralph Baird. They made their home in Grand Forks, ND and Staples, MN and were blessed with four children. They had many businesses together but the ones she was most proud of were the Spud Bar, East Grand Floral and the Laundromat, and the Staples Motel. Jean was an entrepreneur, a loving wife and mother. In retirement Ralph and Jean moved to Warroad, MN. After Ralph's passing in 2009, Jean moved to Dilworth, MN where she remained until her passing.

Survivors include her sons Daniel Baird and Floyd Baird; 7 Grandchildren and 16 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ralph, parents Henry and Veronica, and children Timothy Baird and Phyllis Kimbrell

FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:00 PM Friday, February 4, 2022 at Dahl Funeral Home, 2029 Central Ave NW, East Grand Forks, MN 56721

VISITATION: 1 Hour prior to the funeral on Friday at the funeral home

BURIAL: Memorial Park North Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND in the Spring of 2022
