Joel
Stallmo
November 8, 1932 — September 10, 2022
Joel Neil Stallmo , 89, joined our Lord on September 10, 2022, after a peaceful passing.
Joel was born in Fisher, Minnesota on November 8, 1932. He was the 3rd of six siblings born to his parents, Gunder Stallmo & Alice (Anderson). He is survived by his younger brother, Sherman Stallmo, who resides in the Minneapolis area. The family moved to East Grand Forks in the late 30's. He met Joyce Cariveau, the love of his life, attending EGF Central HS, and they were married on November 21, 1952. After two years in the Army, stationed in San Francisco, they moved to Los Angeles in the mid-50's where they raised two children, Joellen and Kevin. In 1970 the family moved to the Minneapolis area. As empty nesters, Joel and Joyce moved to Phoenix in 1979 where they eventually retired. Joyce passed away in August of 2014 and Joel continued to reside in Phoenix until he moved closer to family in Chaska, MN in 2021.
Joel was a loving husband & father and a great role model! He loved listening to country music with a little fiddle in the background and was a huge sports fan, especially baseball, where he followed the Dodgers, Diamondbacks and Twins.
Joel is survived by his two children, Joellen Kodet and Kevin (Kim) Stallmo; and grandson, Mason Stallmo.
Private family services will be held.
