John Bartlette, age 73, of Grand Forks, ND, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 29, 2019, at Valley Eldercare in Grand Forks, ND.

John was born on February 20, 1946, in Walhalla, ND, the son of the late Patrick and Katherine (Walls) Bartlette. He lived and attended school in Grand Forks, ND. He was united in marriage to Gloria Carlson on July, 14 1976. Afterwards, he attended plumbing school in Glasgow, MT. Over the years he lived in Walhalla, Thompson, and Grand Forks, ND, and East Grand Forks, MN, and worked for plumbing companies in the Grand Forks and Grand Forks Air Force Base area. John always talked fondly of his colleagues and enjoyed mentoring new staff. John enjoyed thrift shopping, woodworking and watching sports. John always took great pride in the success of his children.

John is survived by his children, Paul (Carrie) Bartlette of Arlington, MN, Michael (Allie) Bartlette of Goodhue, MN, Kristy (Greg) Kehler of Morden, MB, Tom (Jennifer) Bartlette of Baltimore, MD and Rhon Hawkins of Harriman, TN; 4 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and siblings, Charlotte Cunningham of Seattle, WA, Morris (LaDonna) Bartlette of Surprise, AZ, Earl (Sandy) Bartlette of East Grand Forks, MN, and Marie (Larry) Jarmon of Marysville, WA; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family of John Bartlette would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Valley Eldercare and Tufte Manor for the patient and caring support given to John in his final years.
