John M. Griffith, 76, of Drayton, ND died Friday, June 5, 2020 at the Lutheran Sunset Home, Grafton, ND.

John Griffith was born March 12, 1944 in Chicago, IL the son of Donald and Betty (Marshall) Griffith. He grew up in Glenwood, MO and attended College in Kirksville, MO. He married Sara Sue Seaman in Trenton, MO on August 11, 1966. He was a 20-year veteran of USAF including a tour in Vietnam from 1969 to 1970.  They lived in Grand Forks ND, Fort Worth, TX, Weeting, England, and Homestead, FL.

He is survived by his wife Sara Sue of Grand Forks, ND, children, John W. (Matthew) Griffith, of Chicago, IL, Lindsay (Stephen ) Kissee of Drayton, ND, 2 grandchildren Siobhan and Stephanie Kissee, 2 sisters, Kate (James) Starbuck of Queen City, MO and Ruth (David) Maddalozzo of Seymour, IA. He is preceded in death by his parents, and infant sister Louise Griffith.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Lung Association.
