Joyce Ann Habben, 70, of East Grand Forks, MN passed away Thursday, August 15, 2019 surrounded by her loving family, at the Villa St. Vincent Nursing Center, Crookston, MN.

Joyce Ann Welter was born April 28, 1949 in Crookston, MN to the late Hilarion "Doc" Welter and Lauretta Cournia Welter. She grew up in Crookston and graduated from Mount St. Benedict. She married Pete Habben in Crookston, MN on October 25, 1969. Joyce worked at Northwestern Bell and then Altru Hospital and was a member of Sacred Heart Parish.

She is survived by her daughter Christine (Abraham) Penland of Arvada, CO; sister Mona (Ron) Heglin of Surprise, AZ; brother Jerry Welter of Kirkhoven, MN; sister-in-law Paula (Blaine) Nordwall of Bismarck, ND; grandchildren Dylan, Logan, and Emma; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents Doc and Lauretta, husband Pete, parents-in-law Pete and June Habben, sister-in-law LaVonne Welter, and nephew Joshua Nordwall.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or the Villa St. Vincent

Memorial Mass: 11:00 A.M., Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, East Grand Forks, MN.
