Obituary

Judithe A. Heffron, 74, of Grand Forks, ND died Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at the Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.

Judithe Heffron was born February 7, 1946 in Grand Forks, ND the daughter of Everett and Elizabeth "Betty" (VanMill) Spicer. She grew up in Grand Forks and graduated from Grand Forks Central High School in 1964. She attended UND. She married Martin Heffron in Grand Forks on June 3, 1967. They lived in Minneapolis MN where she graduated from University of Minnesota and later from William Mitchell College of Law. She practiced law in Minneapolis – St. Paul MN area. They relocated to Denver, CO then returned to Grand Forks where she and her husband were deeply involved in youth activities as well as caring for family members. "The Classiest Lady I Know" brought her energy and artistry to Grand Forks Children's Theater and musical productions as she had done for the figure skating community of Roseville, MN. Her wit and love of literature were matched by her hospitality (unmatched apple pie) and interest in a wide network of family and friends.

She is survived by daughter Samantha (Neil) Hanson of Denver, CO, and grandsons Eric and Ethan Hanson, daughter Moriah Heffron (Jake Anderson) of Grand Forks, and grandsons Christopher and Nicholas Veres, brothers James Spicer and Larry (Dorey) Spicer, sister Barb (Bob) Fladeland, sister in law Moira Heffron, nieces, Mageen Caines (Brian, Ellia and Errol), Ann Porter (Antonio, Nina and Zoe), Lori Frost and Julie Spicer, and nephews, Chad Fladeland (Sandy, Hannah) Bobby Fladeland (Nancy, Bo and Autumn), and Richie West.

We weren't ready to say goodbye. We will look forward to gathering together when we can gather together.
