Judy Cummings, 82, of Grand Forks, passed away peacefully Monday, January 1, 2024 at Valley Sr. Living TCU in Grand Forks.

Agnes Judith Fontaine was born February 4, 1941, in Grand Forks to Albert and Mary Evelyn (Fillion) Fontaine. Judy, as she was better known, grew up in Grand Forks and graduated from St. James High School. She then attended beauty school and was licensed in cosmetology. On June 15, 1963, Judy married Jim Cummings at St. Michael's in Grand Forks. They made their home in Grand Forks and were blessed with three children, Todd, Troy, and Lonnie. Judy was a member of St. Michaels Church and worked for over 30 years as an assistant manager at Kmart and in her younger days enjoyed playing softball for the Kmart team and was a league bowler. Later in life, Judy enjoyed spending time at her cabin at Maple Lake, playing cards and Mahjong, and was an avid MN Twins, Vikings, and Sioux Hockey fan.

Judy is survived by children Todd (Jen Hanson) Cummings, Troy (Kristen) Cummings, and Lonnie Cummings all of Grand Forks; grandchildren Haley Bruhn, Beau Cummings, and Adrian Cummings; great-grandchildren Blakely, Castle and Brooks; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by Albert and Evelyn Fontaine, Jim Cummings, twin brother Jerry Fontaine, brother Lynn Fontaine, sister Jean Williams, and companion Robert "Bob" Nikle, Sr.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: 12:30 PM, Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Dahl Funeral Home, 2029 Central Ave. NW, East Grand Forks, MN 56721.

VISITATION: One hour prior to the service also at Dahl Funeral Home

INURNMENT: Resurrection Cemetery in the Spring of 2024
