Karl Gooden, 89, of East Grand Forks, MN died Friday, March 1, 2019 at the Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.

Karl Gooden was born June 21, 1929 in Drayton, ND the son of Donald and Gertrude (Mindak) Gooden.  He grew up and attended school in Grand Forks, ND.  He entered the US Navy serving on the USS Eversol.  He married Lorraine Knutson at the St. Michaels Catholic Church, Grand Forks on May 3, 1952.  He worked for Bridgeman Creameries and Old Dutch until his retirement in 1986.

Karl is survived by his children, Cheryl Weber of East Grand Forks, Susan (Tim) Johnson of East Grand Forks, David (Judi) Gooden of Walker, MN, Robert (Jean Jorgenson) Gooden of Grand Forks, John (Janet) Gooden of Reinholds, PA and Nancy Compeau of East Grand Forks, 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and sister Geneve Stoller, of Phoenix, AZ.   He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Lorraine, granddaughter, Stephenie Johnson, sisters, Lucy, Judy and JoAnn, brother, Donald, daughter in law Aggie Gooden, and son in laws, Dennis Weber and Ricky Compeau.

Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 7, 2019 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, East Grand Forks, MN.

Visitation: 5-7 PM with 6:30 prayer service on Wednesday at the Dahl Funeral Home.

Interment: Resurrection Cemetery, East Grand Forks, MN in the spring.
