Katherine "Kae" E. Holtman, age 96 of Grand Forks, ND passed away on Wednesday, September 20,2023 at Valley Senior Living Woodside Village with her family by her side.

Katherine Ellnor Holtman was born on December 18, 1926 in Dahlen, ND the daughter of Roy and Clara (Dahlen) Frost.  Katherine grew up near Whitman, ND and attended grade school in Whitman.  She graduated from Dahlen High School.  Following her high school graduation she moved to Grand Forks, ND.  On September 28, 1949 she was united in marriage to Wesley Holtman in East Grand Forks, MN.  They then started Holtman Potato Co. in East Grand Forks, MN and raised their family until sadly, on October 6, 1981 Wesley passed away.

Kae was a loving mother and grandma and enjoyed taking care of her family.

Family members who survive Katherine include her children, Cathy (David) Krostue of East Grand Forks, MN, Greg (Laurie) Holtman of East Grand Forks, MN, Rick Holtman of Thompson, ND, Tim (Pam) Holtman of Bemidji, MN, KrisAnn Holtman of Elmor, MN, Karen (Steven) Schmit of Ponsford, MN, Julie (Meryl) Willert of Fargo, ND, Jodi (Rick) Valentino of Champlin, MN and Brian (Denise) Velaski of Portland, OR; 21 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; siblings, Dennis Frost of Turner, OR, Jack Frost of Mesa, AZ and Sharron (Milt) Skjervem of Michigan, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wes Holtman; sisters, Dorothy Voiss, Mary Ann Daws, an infant sister Donna Frost and brother Dean Frost.

Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 200 3rd St. NW, East Gand Forks, MN.

Visitation: 1 Hour Prior Memorial Service on Saturday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
