Kathleen Northagen, 88, of Grand Forks, formerly of rural Dahlen, ND, died Friday, June 13th, 2025 at Valley Senior Living in Grand Forks, ND.

Kathleen Gail Lovetta Lindly was born on December 17th, 1936 to James and Hildur (Swanson) Lindly on the family farm in Grand Forks County. She attended Elkmount Country School and later attended and graduated from Dahlen High School. Kathleen married Gilmen Northagen on November 2nd, 1955 in Dahlen, ND.  Shortly after their marriage, they moved to Butte, Montana where Gilmen worked in the copper mines.  In 1957 they returned to Dahlen and farmed side-by-side for many years, with Gilmen driving the combine and Kathleen hauling the grain.

Kathleen is survived by her children; John (Lynette) Northagen of Grand Forks, Pamela (Doug) Hove of Park River, ND, Julie (Terry) Tennison of Fordville, ND, her grandchildren; Alissa Foerster, Erin (Jacob) Hemmingsen, Kimberly (Brandon) Dahl, Lisa and Amie Northagen, Jessica and Cole Tennison and Jayden Hove and her great-grandchildren; Dylan Rasmusson, Jarrett Rudnik, Holdyn and Sawyer Hemmingsen and Emma Dahl and several nieces and nephews.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband Gilmen, her parents James and Hildur and her siblings; Grace Rude, Avis Jehlicka, Lyle Lindly and an infant sister.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Dahlen Fire Department.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: 11:00 AM on Friday, June 20th at Dahl Funeral Home, 2029 Central Ave NW, East Grand Forks, MN.

VISITATION: One hour before the service on Friday.

INTERMENT: East Sarnia Cemetery, rural Whitman, ND.  Monday, June 23rd @ 11 am.
