Keith Arnold Brundin , age 79, of San Tan Valley, AZ, formerly of Grand Forks, ND, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 15th, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Gilbert AZ.

Keith Brundin was born on October 6th, 1946, in Grand Forks, ND the eldest son of the late Mona and Don Brundin.  He graduated from East Grand Forks High School in the mid 1960s and graduated from the University of North Dakota with a Masters in Mathematics in 1969.  Keith began his business journey through JCPenney's and served as district manager up until his retirement in 1998.

Keith married the love of his life, Ann Brundin, on April 13th, 1996, at Sharon Lutheran Church in Grand Forks, ND.  They moved to Watertown, SD until 2008.  They relocated to Sioux Falls, SD due to Ann's employment at the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Reservation in Eagle Butte, SD.

During retirement, Keith volunteered his time reading to the local elementary children and serving on various boards within the church.  He served as a member of The Point to Serve Church in Sioux Falls, SD. He volunteered as a court appointed special advocate (CASA) for abused and neglected children in foster care.  He eventually moved to Arizona in 2018 to spend time in the sunshine and warm weather.

Keith Brundin never met a person he couldn't talk to.  He was bold, friendly, and sometimes known to stretch the truth. He loved to socialize, talk about his kids and grandkids, as well as his beloved UND hockey team.  Keith was generous with his time and money and adored talking on the phone to friends and family.

Keith is survived by his children; Lesa (Tim) Larson, grandsons Scott and Chase of Storm Lake, IA, Jessica Beringer, grandsons Cyrus and Lincoln of Vermillion, SD, Alia (Tucker) Anderson, granddaughters Myra and Ella of Minneapolis, MN and Chris Brundin of Jacksonville, FL; brothers Roger Brundin of Grand Forks, ND, John (JoAnn) Brundin of Grand Forks, ND, Lee (Becky) Brundin of Case Grande, AZ and sister-in-law Laurie Brundin of East Grand Forks, MN.

Keith is preceded in death by his amazing wife Ann Brundin parents (Mona and Don Brundin); brothers (Gary and Mark), sister-in-law Sharon Brundin, nephew Jonathan Brundin and his son Scott Brundin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the UND Alumni Association.
