Gunder (Larry) Lawrence Krostue, 78 , of Fisher, MN, passed away Tuesday morning, Sept. 30, 2025 in his home surrounded by his loving family.

Larry was born on Oct. 14, 1946 in Grand Forks, the son of Gunder and Luella "Tudy" (VanDeventer) Krostue.  He grew up on the family farm in Bygland Township, attended rural school and graduated from Fisher High School in 1964. Larry married Mary Don Hoaas August 14, 1965 in Thief River Falls, MN.

Larry graduated from the AVTI in TRF with a degree in welding; worked at the NSP steam plant until its closing, proceeded to work at the missile site in Mountain, ND, and then to BK electric as a journeyman.  After BK, he started farming with his father and brother raising beets, grain, and beans in the Fisher/Bygland area. Retiring in 2007.

Larry was proud to be a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, son, brother, and uncle. He dedicated his life to farming, working the land with steady hands and a faithful heart. Beyond the fields, he found joy in his woods and campground, places that reflected his love for the outdoors. Larry also cherished his time fishing, where he found quiet moments of peace and contentment.

Larry will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the woods he loved, the waters he fished, and the family who carries his spirit forward.

Loving family members include his wife of 60 years, Mary Don Krostue of Fisher, MN; son James (Maxx) Krostue, Grand Lake, Co; son-in-law, Peter Senger, Burnsville, MN; grandchildren, Dustin Krostue, Morgan Krostue, Hunter Senger and Clay (Haiden) Senger; great granddaughter, Myah Krostue; siblings Judith Gustafson, Grand Forks, ND, Marsha (James) Ketring, Bygland, MN, Marilyn (Rick) Mont, Grand Forks, ND, David (Cathy) Krostue, East Grand Forks, MN, and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.  Larry was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Teresa "Traci" Senger.

VISITATION: 5:00 PM until time of PRAYER SERVICE at 6:30 PM on Friday, October 3, 2025 at Dahl Funeral Home, 2029 Central Ave. NW, East Grand Forks, MN 56721.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:30 AM, Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Bygland Lutheran Church, 40976 235th St SW, Fisher, MN 56723, with another visitation one hour prior. Funeral will be live-streamed on Larry's page at www.dandahlfuneralhome.com
