Laurel W. Johnson, 86, of Grand Forks, ND died Sunday, January 5, 2025 at the Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.

Laurel Johnson was born March 28, 1938 in Grand Forks, ND the son of Herman and Helga (Moe) Johnson.  He graduated from East Grand Forks Central High School and University of North Dakota.  He married Barbara Lamae Torbenson on March 26, 1960.  He was an Industrial Arts Teacher for Grand Forks Central and Twining

He is survived by 2 children, Larry (Gail) Johnson, Jr, of Eagan, MN, Barbara Victoria Johnson of Eagan, MN, and 2 grandchildren, Abigail (David) Rios of Farmington, MN and Grace Johnson of Eagan, MN.  He is preceded in death by his parents and wife Barbara.

No services will be held at this time. He will be laid to rest with his wife at the Fargo National Cemetery in the summer.
