LaVerda M. Lamaack, age 81 of Grand Forks, ND passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2021 at Valley Senior Living.

LaVerda Marnelle Peters was born on April 8, 1939 in Hamilton County, NE, the daughter of Henry and Leora (Lepp) Peters.  LaVerda grew up in southern Minnesota and graduated from Fosston High School in Fosston, MN.  On June 11, 1960 she was united in marriage to Clayton Lamaack in Fosston, MN.  In 1994 they moved to East Grand Forks, MN and then back to Fosston in 1997.  In 2010 they returned to East Grand Forks, MN.

Family members who survive LaVerda include her husband Clayton of Grand Forks, MN; children, Lori K. Looney (Mylo Samuelson) of Harker Heights, TX, Brian J. Lamaack of Grand Forks, ND and Julie G. (David) Cochran of Sparta, WI; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; siblings, Garnett Aanenson of McIntosh, MN, Gordon (Pat) Peters of Burnsville, MN, Curtis (Edna) Peters of East Grand forks, MN and Carmen Peters of AZ.

She is preceded in death by her parents Leora and Henry Peters; sister, Nadine Kotowicz and brother-in-law, Ordell Aanenson.

Memorial Service will be announced for a later date in the Summer of 2021.
