Leslie (Les) Kalenze, 74, of Albert Lea, MN, and formally of Grand Forks, ND, passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN. A decorated veteran of the Vietnam War, Les will be remembered by all as a man of great strength and humor.

Leslie Kalenze was born on March 7, 1947 in Grand Forks, ND the son of LeRoy and Amity (Landowski) Kalenze.  On September 26, 1970, he was united in marriage to Ruth LeBlanc in East Grand Forks, MN.  An Independent Concrete Contractor in Grand Forks until 1999, Les relocated to Henderson, NV, and worked as a carpenter at the Imperial Palace, a hotel-casino on the Las Vegas strip.  Following his retirement, he moved to Albert Lea, MN.

Loving family members who survive Leslie include his sons, Eric Kalenze of St. Paul, MN, and Ethan Kalenze of Las Vegas, NV; 3 brothers, Joseph, Greg and Steven Kalenze; and 2 sisters, Heidi and Kathe.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruth Kalenze on September 4, 2020; brothers, LeRoy Jr., Kevin, Linus, Jerry and Mark Kalenze; sisters, Frieda and Mary.

Memorial Service: 11:00 AM on Friday, March 26, 2021 in Dahl Funeral Home, 2029 Central Ave. NW, East Grand Forks, MN.
