Louanna Mae Reopelle, 98, of Fargo, ND died Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at Eventide, Fargo, ND.

Louanna Mathews was born February 27, 1928 in Wimbledon, ND, the daughter of Joe and Mary (Miller) Mathews.  She grew up in Wimbledon and Leo, ND, where she also attended school. Later, she and her family moved to East Grand Forks, MN.

On November 17th, 1950, Louanna married Lawrence Reopelle in East Grand Forks, MN, where they made their home. Louanna and Lawrence raised five children and she kept busy as a homemaker. Later in life, she volunteered as a foster grandparent and at the Public Library in East Grand Forks. She also volunteered at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with Women's Circle and was a member of the Naomi Circle.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Reopelle; son Charles Reopelle; and parents, Joe and Mary Mathews.

Louanna is survived by her children Paul (Pam) Reopelle, Mary (Tom) Allinder, Randy (Joan) Reopelle, and Pauline (Brett) Franklin; grandchildren Jonathan (Amanda) Allinder, Cole Mack, Cassandra (Ridge) Zielke, Matthew (Mallory) Allinder, and Michelle Rakstad; great-grandchildren Hayden, Clara, Evie, Lily, Trudie, Franny, Mac, Rory, Porter, Alicia, and Anthony (Nikki); and great-great-grandchildren Jameson and Seeley.

FUNERAL SERVICES: 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 1515 5th Ave NW, East Grand Forks, MN

VISITATION: 1 hour before services at the church

INTERMENT: Resurrection Cemetery, East Grand Forks, MN.
