LuVerne V. Higdem, 90, of Grand Forks, ND died Thursday, June 14, 2018 at the Valley Memorial, Woodside Village, Grand Forks, ND.

LuVerne was born February 13, 1928 in Northwood, ND the daughter of Louis and Gina (Sagen) Johnson. She grew up in Northwood where she worked on the family farm. She married William (Bill) Higdem in November of 1947. They started their family and moved around before settling in East Grand Forks in the late 1950's.

Throughout her career she worked at Eddie's Café, Frank's Café, The Elks and the Spud Bar off sale, before retiring when it closed. During her free time she enjoyed puzzles, crosswords, scratch off tickets and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by children, Gary (Special friend Barb) of Thompson, ND, Vickie (Mike) Olson, Debbie (Daryl) Weber both of East Grand Forks, MN, 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter Diane, sons Randy, Bradley and Raymond, grandson Shane, brothers, Arthur, Norris, Gilman, Gordon, Dale and Neilan, and sisters Arlene, Thelma and Arna,
