Obituary

Lynn K. Mack , age 78, of East Grand Forks, MN, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Valley Senior Living on 42nd, with her loving family by her side.

Lynn Kay Sticklemyer was born on May 12, 1947, in Grand Forks, ND, the daughter of the late William and Ann (Kozel) Sticklemyer. She grew up in East Grand Forks and graduated from Sacred Heart School in 1965. Lynn briefly attended Bemidji State University before returning home to marry her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Ron "Ronnie" Mack. They were united in marriage on April 27, 1968, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Lynn and Ronnie made their home in East Grand Forks, where Ronnie co-owned and operated Mack Farms alongside his father and brother. Lynn worked at Valley Bank before choosing to stay home and raise their children, a role she cherished. Once her children were in high school, she returned to the workforce part-time until her retirement.

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Lynn had a caregiver's heart - always putting the needs of others before her own. She found her greatest joy in her family, especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She was their biggest supporter and never missed a chance to be present for them. Lynn's dedication to caring for Ronnie during his health challenges gave them many more cherished years together. Her steadfast faith, selfless nature, and warm spirit were evident to all who knew and loved her.

Lynn is survived by her children: Jenny (Lee) Estad of East Grand Forks, MN, and Jeff Mack of Liberty Hill, TX; grandchildren: Dylan Mack (fiancée Brooke Johnson) of Maple Grove, MN, and Madison Estad (fiancé Josh Weber) and Evan Estad (fiancée Jaelyn Nelson), all of East Grand Forks, MN; sister: Barb Vigen of East Grand Forks, MN; and brother-in-law: Gary Mack of Mesa, AZ.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of nearly 52 years, Ronnie Mack; her parents, Bill and Ann Sticklemyer; her in-laws, George and Helen Mack; brother-in-law, James Vigen; and nephew, Mike Vigen.

Lynn's family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the dedicated staff at Valley Senior Living on 42nd, especially those in the Prairieview neighborhood, for the unwavering care, kindness, and compassion shown to Lynn during her time there. We are also profoundly thankful to HIA Hospice for the gentle support and comfort they provided to both Lynn and our family in her final weeks.

The family requests memorials to the Ron and Lynn Mack scholarship at Sacred Heart Foundation.
