Margaret Dee Joy "Meg", 60, Grand Forks, ND, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks.

Meg was born on November 29, 1962 to David and Gloria (Neeley) Stewart in California. She grew up in California and graduated from Apple Valley High School, Apple Valley, CA. Meg met the love of her life, Michael Joy and the two were united in marriage on July 21, 1984 in Las Vegas, NV. After living in various places in southern California, Meg and Mike moved to Minnesota in 2002. When Mike retired the couple moved to Grand Forks.

Family was the most important to Meg, with Meg being the center of her family. She was known as "Nana" to her grandchildren and especially loved taking care of them at "Nana's Daycare". Meg was crafty, enjoyed cross stitching, and was an excellent cook.

Meg is survived by her husband of 38 years, Michael, Grand Forks; 5 children, Phillip (Samantha) Joy, Grand Forks, Jessica Joy, Grand Forks, Lisa Stein, East Grand Forks, MN, Chris Joy, Grand Forks, and Melinda (Nick) Ladwig, Grand Forks; 7 grandchildren, Zoey, Killian, Liam, Lennon, Rowynn, Joplin, and Maci Jo; brother, Scott (Karen) Stewart, CO; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Michael David Stewart and Todd Stewart.
