Marilyn Carole Wald, 83 of East Grand Forks, MN went into the loving arms of God Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at the Bethany Retirement Living Center, Fargo, ND.

Marilyn Carole Bushee was born October 23, 1935 in Grand Forks, ND to Paul and Leonida (Burton) Bushee. The youngest of 11 children, she grew up in East Grand Forks and graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1953. After graduation, she worked in the office at Griffiths Department store until she married.

Marilyn met the love of her life, Pete J. Wald, in her family's potato field in 1952 and they were married June 28, 1955 in Sacred Heart Church, East Grand Forks, MN. They were blessed to spend 60 loving years together. In 1978 she attended the East Grand Forks AVTI studying typing and bookkeeping and went back into the workforce after raising her five children. She then went on to manage the East Grand Forks Department of Motor Vehicles and Security Real Estate Company from 1980 until retirement in 2001. She was a loving and giving person, always putting others first. Her deep faith, love of music, gardening, sewing and knitting were shared throughout her life and with her family. She had a continuous curiosity that led to reading and learning all of her years. She was an active member of Sacred Heart Parish serving as a member of the Sacred Heart Guild and choir member for 35 years.

She will be deeply missed but we know she is singing and dancing in heaven with god's choir surrounded by her loved ones that were there to greet her.

She is survived by her children, Mark (Debbie) Wald of Eagle, ID, Cindy (Scott) Schalkle of Cave Creek, AZ, Tim (Denise) Wald of Scottsdale, AZ, Julie (John) West of Fargo, ND, and Lori (Bob) Zeman of West Fargo, ND; 17 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Pete, parents Paul and Leonida, six brothers, and four sisters.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Pete & Marilyn Wald Scholarship Fund c/o Sacred Heart, 200 3 ^rd St. NW, EGF, MN 56721 or Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Memorial Services: 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 200 3 ^rd St. NW, East Grand Forks, MN.

Visitation: 1 Hour prior to Memorial Service at the church
