Marjorie M. Debertin, age 99 of East Grand Forks, MN passed away on Friday, September 4, 2020 at Valley Senior Living Woodside Village in Grand Forks, ND

Marjorie Mae Debertin was born on February 26, 1921 in Buffalo, MN the daughter of George and Lillie (Petersen) Swedberg. Marjorie grew up in St. Paul, MN and graduated from Mechanic Arts High School in St. Paul. She married Karl Massey on April 10, 1943. Karl was killed in action over Italy in 1944 during WWII. On November 23, 1946 she was united in marriage to Dale Debertin in St. Paul, MN. Marjorie worked for Meals on Wheels for a number of years. She and Dale were UND hockey fans, loved to travel and enjoyed going to auctions. One of her favorite things to do was to coffee in the neighborhood. And what a neighborhood it was.

Family members who survive Marjorie include her children, Karl (Phyllis) Debertin of Sahuarita, AZ, Maridee Debertin of Minneapolis, MN, JoAnn (Terry) Meland of Grand Forks, ND, and Jay (Becky) Debertin of Sunfish Lake, MN; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Karl Massey and Dale Debertin on December 12, 1998; sisters, Jean Bergquist and Betty Schuetzler.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Campbell Library and Home Delivered Meals
