Marlene V. Ferguson, age 85 of East Grand Forks, MN passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2019 at the Lutheran Sunset Home in Grafton, ND.

Marlene Vernell Ferguson was born on July 10, 1934 in Grand Forks, ND the daughter of Perry and Bernice (Hagen) Kringen. She grew up in Grand Forks, ND and graduated from Central High School. On February 22, 1955 she was united in marriage to Richard Ferguson in Roswell, NM. She worked as a secretary for the St. Louis County Courthouse in Virgina, MN. They moved to East Grand Forks, MN and she was employed with the University of North Dakota in the Computer Center and also was a secretary for the Dean at UND Law School for many years. They owned and operated Giant Wash and Valley Queen Laundromat in East Grand Forks.

Family members who survive Marlene include her children Lisa (Jay Charnell) Ferguson of East Grand Forks, MN and Bret (Lorri) Ferguson of Fargo, ND; 2 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Richard; daughter, Lori Behm and 3 brothers, Richard, Robert and Rodger Kringen.
