Maxine Hjelmstad, 93, of Grand Forks, ND died Saturday, September 26, 2020 at the Woodside Village, Valley Senior Living, Grand Forks, ND.

Maxine Hjelmstad was born August 13, 1927 in Grand Forks, ND daughter of the late Arthur and Josephine (Cole) Beaupre. She grew up in Grand Forks and graduated from Grand Forks Central High School. On June 30, 1947, she married Wallace Hjelmstad in Grand Forks, ND. She worked as a toy buyer for Home of Economy. They lived in Island Lake, MN.

She is survived by her children, Gary (Linda) Hjelmstad of Island Lake, MN, Ron (Donna) Hjelmstad of Grand Forks, ND, Karen Hjelmstad of Omaha, NE and Barb Rood of Thompson, ND; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandson. She is preceded in death by her parents, Husband Wallace on January 8, 1993and siblings, Joe Beaupre, Bert Suprenaut, Linus Suprenaut, Donnie Beaupre and Marshall Beaupre.

Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 200 3 ^rd Street NE, East Grand Forks, MN 56721.

Visitation: 1 Hour prior to service at the church.

Interment: Calvary Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
