Maxine O. Noss , age 99, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Valley Senior Living of Grand Forks, ND.

Maxine Orine Gorder was born April 19, 1925 in Gary, MN to Oscar and Clara (Haugen) Gorder. She grew up and attended school in Gary before going to LPN training in Crookston. On October 14, 1952 Maxine married Lester William Noss at Ness Lutheran Church in Gary, MN. She worked at area hospitals, Western Potato Company and finally at the Good Samaritan. Maxine enjoyed cooking and entertaining, especially at holidays. She also enjoyed playing cards and quilting with other members of her Immanuel Lutheran Church family.

Maxine is survived by her sons Robert Noss and Richard (Jolene) Noss all of East Grand Forks; brother Howard (Erma) Gorder of Gary, MN; sister-in-law, Marian Gorder; grandchildren Kelsey, Lucas (Rachel), Jennifer and Courtney Noss; and great-grandson Shepherd Noss. She was preceded in death by her parents Oscar and Clara Gorder and siblings Mildred (Arnold) Gunderson, Cora (Gifford) Mattson, Merine (Oscar) Vigum, Norman, Orville and Oreal "Tubby" (Vera) Gorder.

FUNERAL: 12:00 PM, Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1710 Cherry Street, Grand Forks, ND 58201. Funeral will be live-streamed on Maxine's page at www.dandahlfuneralhome.com
