Patrick Driscoll, age 88, of Grand Forks, ND, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2019, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.

Patrick Driscoll was born on May 15, 1931, in Grand Forks, ND, the son of the late William and Marie (Dumontet) Driscoll. He grew up in East Grand Forks, MN, and attended Sacred Heart School. Patrick was united in marriage to JoAnn Austin on June 10, 1950. During their 53 years of marriage they were blessed with 9 children. Patrick served in the Army National Guard from January 1951 to October 1952. Afterwards, he worked for Armour Company from October 1952 until his retirement in February 1996. Patrick then worked for Altru Health Systems as a courier from April 2003 to January 2012. In his younger years, Patrick enjoyed living on the farm, hunting, fishing, and bowling. He enjoyed reading, NFL football, the daily news, and playing cards. He was an avid reader, enjoyed mystery series on TV, and was determined to win the lottery, so he could split the winnings with his children. Patrick was a man of integrity and stood by his commitments. He was always willing to help anyone. He was a dedicated father and husband, teaching by example. He loved his family dearly and was always there when you needed him. He attended as many activites as possible for his children and grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.

Patrick is survived by his children, Patrick (Lori) Driscoll, of Sturgeon Lake, MN; Victoria (Michael) Stahl of Valley City, ND; Julie (Gale) Delude of Oklee, MN; Betty Campbell of Omaha, NE; Paulette (Greg) Upright of Marion, TX; Timothy (Trijntje) Driscoll of Zwolle, Netherlands; Bridgette (Marcelo) Campoverde of East Grand Forks, MN; Anthony "AJ" (Katie) Driscoll of Hallock, MN; and Christopher Hendrickson of Kansas City, KS; 28 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Jack Driscoll, Mary Hayes, Dick Edvall, Wayne Edvall, and Linda Ford; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, JoAnn Driscoll; parents, William Driscoll and Marie Edvall; step father, Harold Edvall; sister, Lorraine Torgeson; and brothers, Michael, William, and Thomas Driscoll.

Military honors will be provided immediately after the service by the East Grand Forks American Legion and VFW, and the North Dakota National Guard.
