Paul Bradley Wenell, 63, of East Grand Forks, MN, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2026.

Paul was born on June 21, 1963, in Minneapolis, MN, to Paul Rodney Wenell and Rowena Patricia Rock. Throughout his life, Paul called several Minnesota communities home, including Minneapolis, Cass Lake, Bemidji, and East Grand Forks. He attended schools in Minneapolis, Cass Lake and Bemidji.

On October 24, 2012, Paul married Debra Wenell, in Las Vegas, NV. Together they shared a life filled with love, companionship, and cherished memories.

Paul was a hardworking and talented man who took pride in his work. Over the years, he held a variety of positions that showcased his skills and craftsmanship. He worked as a millwright for Dakota Dried Beans in Devils Lake, ND, for several years, as a welder for Reimer Welding, and as a carpenter. He also spent time working for the city of Minneapolis.

Outside of work, Paul enjoyed spending his time woodworking and creating beautiful birch bark baskets, a craft that reflected his patience, creativity, and appreciation for working with his hands. He also enjoyed harvesting wild rice and visiting casinos. Whether he was working on a project or enjoying one of his favorite pastimes, Paul found fulfillment in the things he loved.

Paul is survived by his loving wife, Debra Wenell; his children, Violet (Aadam) Czech of Blackduck, MN, Jami King of Ponemah, MN (and their mother Faye King), Paul (Aries) Rock of Minneapolis, MN, Kelli Staples of Bena, MN, Brenton (Trinity) Headbird-Wenell of Bemidji, MN, Shawna Jones Wenell of Bemidji, MN, and Tony (Eden) Amundson of East Grand Forks, MN; His sister Paula (Brian) Wenell of Askov, MN, Happy Wenell of Bena, MN, Kelly M. Vonholdt of Minneapolis, MN; along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Royal David Rock; his sister, Fay Annette Rock; his daughter, April Vanezza King; his son, Royal David King; and his great-grandson, Brent Roy Cloud Jr.

Paul will be remembered for his many talents, his hardworking spirit, and the memories he leaves with his family and friends.
